AAAI 2008 Fall Symposium on

Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architectures

Washington, D.C. - November 7-9, 2008

The general focus of this symposium is on the challenge of creating a computational equivalent of the natural mind in its higher cognitive abilities. Specific topics include cognitive architectures inspired by the brain, constraints borrowed from biology, human-like learning and self-sustained cognitive growth, self-regulated learning assistantce, natural language acquisition, emotional and social intelligence, metrics and a roadmap to solving the challenge.

At this time, open submission of papers to the symposium is closed, and a preliminary list of invitees is sent to AAAI. Expected papers or abstracts should be prepared according to the AAAI guidelines and sent via email to Alexei Samsonovich (samsonovich@cox.net or asamsono@gmu.edu) or, if this is not possible, to another Core Organizing Committee member. Please, take a look at the Symposium Description. Current status of the peer review process is reflected in this table (we are running late with reviews).
