Research interests:
Microbiome data, dietary impacts on gut microbiome dynamics, and
NAFLD.
Jasmine Amirzadegan currently holds a
Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics and Computational
Biology. During her time as a graduate student she has been
employed as a (1) lab instructor for Biology 213: Cell Structure
& Function for three years, earning
an award in 2018, (2) mentor for an undergraduate student
for the university’s Students as Scholars program, in which a
series of bioinformatics related videos were animated and
published online, (3) instructional assistant, creating online
lecture content and homework assignments for Computational &
Data Sciences 230: Modelling and Simulation in Python, and (4) led
the Bioinformatics Workshop for the FOCUS summer camp program for
two years, inspiring young women to pursue careers in STEM.
