As we approach the post-genomic era it is now clear that the biological complexity of all living things is not defined by the genomic size or gene number. Rather, it is the manner in which the genes are regulated. Determining the molecular events and logic that controls the follow of genome-based information during cellular processes has fast become the new challenge of the 21st century. In this seminar I will discuss approaches and strategies to leverage genomic information through cell-based assays to begin to define decipher and define mechanisms of transcriptional control.
