Thank you all for coming to the party last Saturday, it was awsome and so funny. We had a great time playing volleyball, ping-pong and enjoying delicious foods. Many pics had been taken and will be uploaded soon. We all hope to see you in the next event.

Thank you for making the Bioinformatics Welcome Back Bash a success! Many of you were soarly missed but our pain was lulled by the swooshes of our digital tennis rackets. For those who attended, shared an evening of fierce competition and camaraderie. We suffered minor casualties, mainly our egos but I speak for all the BGSO officers when I say: it wouldn’t have been the same without you. So thank you again and hope to see you soon. BGSO is an acronym for Bioinformatics Graduate Student Organization. It is for any full-time or part-time graduate student, but not limited to, in the Bioinformatics Program. There are no GPA requirements and membership to BGSO is free. This organization offers an opportunity to network among our peers, enrich our knowledge of biology coupled with technology, gain information regarding research and occupation in the field as well as create a meaningful and memorable experience of our time in this new and promising program. Our tentative ideas for the 2008-09 school year are group study sessions, an organized book exchange, journal discussions, seminars and various social events.
